Welcome to the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital Programs page. With this site, you can browse and search for a particular program event and even register for the event online. You will need to set up an account before you can register for a program event.
How do I register for a program event?
1 Create a new account and enter your information (If you already have an account for Training or Troop Camping reservations, log in with that account.)
2 Use the search feature or browse the catalog to view various program events. Click here to search for events now.
3 When you find an event you would like to attend, click the register button.

Description - Junior Girl Scouts will enjoy a nine-hour program and slumber party style sleepover at the Lincoln Caverns indoor lodge. Program fee includes lodging, an evening snack, morning breakfast, interpretive cavern tour, patch, pizza lunch and "Panning for Gems."
Wildlife:
The six hour program features four workshops with games, activities and hands-on participation and a special interpretive tour of the caverns. After learning all about bats, troops will build large bat houses to put up in their community. Featured Workshops Include: Endangered Species, Bat Species, Bat Adaptations, and Bat Houses.
Rocks Rock:
The six hour program features three hands-on Geology workshops conducted by our experienced staff plus 'An Introduction to Speleology' pre-tour program, and a special interpretive tour of the caverns. All girls receive mineral & fossil specimens to take home. Featured Workshops Include: Rocks & Minerals, Soil & Groundwater, and Fossils & Geologic Time.
Adults do not receive patch or participate in panning for gems. |
